Grocery Store Catching Heat from National Organization of Women Because It Sells This Trump Product

Do you like wine? Do you like President Donald Trump and the job he is doing as president for this country? Well, then you may want to stock up on some Trump wine because the left is trying to make sure you don’t purchase it.

Wegmans, a family-owned, regional supermarket chain with 92 stores on the East Coast is under attack from the left because it sells Trump wines.

Wegman’s 10 Virginia stores are the focus of a boycott calling for the removal of Trump Winery products. The store sells five varieties from the Trump Winery, including Trump Blanc de Blanc and Trump Winery Chardonnay.

Who’s leading the charge?

It appears that the Prince William County chapter of the National Organization of Women which has about 300 members, is putting pressure on the stores to stop carrying Trump’s products from the Charlottesville winery.

Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women whose organization boasts more than 500,000 contributing members, said:

“Certainly if Wegmans is carrying Trump wines, I personally will not shop there.”

Wegmans has been selling wines from the Charlottesville winery since 2008, before it was bought by Trump for $6.2 million in a 2011 foreclosure sale.

Jo Natale, vice president of media relations for Wegmans, said:

“Our role as a retailer is to offer choice to our customers.”
“Individual shoppers who feel strongly about an issue can demonstrate their convictions by refusing to buy a product. When enough people do the same, and sales of a product drop precipitously, we stop selling that product in favor of one that’s in greater demand.”

The Wegmans’ boycott is just part of the left’s agenda called #GrabYourWallet on Twitter, aiming to boycott many stores related to Trump.

Shannon Coulter from San Francisco is co-founder of the campaign and taunts CEO’s to remember that “they can’t take our ‘lady dollars’ for granted anymore.”

Another Twitter user, lists Hudson’s Bay as having the largest assortments of Trump brands online and encourages others on Twitter to “double down” on them.

Yet, another Twitter user called the boycott the best thing since the “Civil Rights movement.” Wow! Really?

If you have an upcoming party to host, a wedding to plan or any event that needs great wine, perhaps Wegmans will have just the wine for you. Maybe a nice Trump variety?

I don’t know if they ship wines but perhaps if there is enough demand for it then maybe they will consider it.

As the vice president of media relations implied, a product will remain on the shelf and be sold in their store as long as there is demand for that product.
