(VIDEO) Nancy Pelosi And Maxine Waters May Have More in Common Than You Think
Sounding a lot like her fellow Democrat, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) who among other things confused Korea with Crimea and forgot the name of Aleppo, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had a few flubs of her own on Thursday.
Speaking before Families USA, a left-leaning activist group opposed to the repeal of Obamacare, Pelosi first thanked a man named Ron and then said, “Thanks for your “recanting” of what happened….,” when it was obvious that she meant to say “recounting.”
She next referenced how the Affordable Care Act was not going to be repealed but would stand with “Social Security and Medicare and Medicare.” Pelosi, apparently meant to say Medicare and “Medicaid” but repeated the word “Medicare” instead.
Pelosi later spoke about how the organization and Barack Obama were responsible for implementing Obamacare.
The crowd did not clap when Pelosi mentioned their efforts in helping to get Obamacare passed but they did clap once she mentioned Obama.
Pelosi promptly reminded the organization that when she mentioned them that was an “applause line” for them.
Moments later, Pelosi told the director of the organization how great it was to work with him and once again reminded the organization, “Applause line. Applause line” before they began to clap.
How nice of Pelosi to tell them when to insert clapping.
Later on in her speech, she referred to John Kasich as the “Governor of Illinois” which would be news to the people of Ohio.
And if that weren’t enough, she referred to Martin Luther King as Martin Luther “Sing.”
I’m sure she was thinking after fumbling her way through the entire speech and often sounding like she was slurring some of her words that it was almost “Freeday and time for the weekend.”
You mean Friday, Nancy…Friday not Freeday.
