This is the first true “Social Media” election and Facebook is, I am afraid, showing that absolute freedom of expression leads to many unfortunate, uncouth, vulgar remarks from people supporting Clinton, Sanders, Trump and every candidate under the sun. I don’t see it as particularly the candidates’ fault as much as the general coarsening of American which has been going on for over 50 plus years.
