A message to our community: “Be Water”

Dear friends,

As 2017 comes to an end, it is a good time to reflect about our journey and our dreams for the new year.

2017 was a great year for us.

We decided on the strategy of doing a Token Offer, to make our project Open Source an we got the support and advisory of Tim Draper and Don Tapscott.

We received investment from Digital Finance Group, Draper Associates and a Japanese angel.

We pitched at Consensus 2017(NYC), Exponential Finance 2017 (NYC), Singularity University Global Summit 2017 (San Francisco) and ICO Summit (Zurich).

But things were not always easy. Things did not always happen according to the plans. We had to change, improvise and adjust the course as we went along. That is part of the startup life. Our biggest competitive advantage is to be agile, lean and adaptable.

And as we start a new year still working towards the dream of Universal Access to Credit, I would like to share with you an advice to guide the Swapy Network community in this new year: “Be water, my friends”.

These words by Bruce Lee were always an inspiration to me.

For me, “being water” means to be flexibe, adaptable and resilient. Water can be a liquid, solid or gas. But it is still water. That means that, no matter the amount of heat and pressure. It never looses its essence and is able to bounce back to its natural state.

Water can be a drop or an ocean, but it is still water. For me, it shows how the community can be stronger if it works together. And how every drop or individual can still represent it well.

We can incorporate many of these atributes to our essence and to our strategy in 2018.

So, to our C-Level, to our Devs, to our partners, to our investors, to our advisors, to our friends and family, I wish you a prosper and productive 2018.

To the Swapy Network community, let´s keep this wise advice in mind in this new year: Be water.
