Couldn’t have said it better. I don’t give a hoot if Congress is this way or that way; but being deliberately obstructive on as many issues as possible is not what I have in mind when I vote to elect people that I want to speak for me. The thought of an activist political judge is abhorrent to me, but the way Congress has responded to the pretty reasonable idea of Garland joining the SC, it would serve the GOP right to see an extremely far-left candidate appointed. If single-issue voters are morons, then what are we to make of a Congress that takes a single-issue stance on who our next SC justice should be?
