Great points, thanks for the many examples. I have been feeling that, while the constitution (like the bible) is quoted all the time, few actually have read before or past the snippet they express, repost, or cross post.

In many cases the press is it’s own enemy as it alternately self-censors, exaggerates and fails to find an analytical path but uses the tired formula of framing the issue with point and counterpoint -offering opposite views without question, or thought. (No need for thought here, and cheap too.) What good can come of that but a two-party system offering Twittle Dee and Twittle Dum?
