Sponsorships and registrations already kicking off for the sixth-annual event

Chicago, September 18, 2019 — T4Youth, Chicagoland’s charity tech table tennis tournament, is now accepting team registrations and corporate sponsorships for the blockbuster annual event, which benefits The Chicago Tech Academy (ChiTech), Chicago’s only public high school to incorporate wall-to-wall project-based learning, entrepreneurial principles, STEM coursework, and real-world experiences with Chicago companies into the curriculum. This year’s tournament will be held on November 13, 2019, at SPiN Chicago, and the winner will earn the title of number-one corporate table tennis team in Chicago. The funds from the event will go toward providing much-needed resources for ChiTech, including computers for students and teachers, new digital classrooms, and a new recording studio.

Last year, teams from across Chicago raised over $100,000 for ChiTech. 2019 looks to be a banner year once more, with momentum from registrations and sponsorships already building. Several previous sponsors have already signed up to sponsor again, including the Intercontinental Exchange, SPR, CBRE, Deloitte, Akuna Capital, SAP Ariba, and DRW, which has signed on to be a leading sponsor for the sixth consecutive year. There are also some new sponsors joining in the fun — so far, Allstate, G2, ABN-AMRO, and Belvedere Trading have signed up, but more sponsorship opportunities remain.

Team registration is beginning to heat up too, with several companies already practicing their serves. With a cap of 64 teams, the roster will soon be filled up. Team registration packages start at $1,000 per team. Teams can register on the site: t4youth.org.

The popular “Executive Challenge” is also open for registration. Each registration for the Executive Challenge, a singles tournament that matches up C-suite individuals, will fund a computer for ChiTech students.

“As we prepare for our sixth T4Youth event, we are ecstatic to see our excitement reflected in the sponsors and teams that have registered so far. This year is sure to be a great success, not only for building community amongst the Chicago tech industry, but for supporting the critical initiatives of ChiTech,” commented Dayna Stoller, chief of staff at Objective Paradigm and an organizer of T4Youth.

Bill Sheehy, senior vice president of tenant representation at CBRE, commented, “Increasing diversity in the tech ecosystem is critical for creating technology that works for all, and ChiTech is working hard to make that happen by educating a diverse group of future tech leaders. We at CBRE are proud to sponsor T4Youth once more to help drive those efforts forward.”

If table tennis is not your game, there are many ways to get involved with T4Youth, such as buying a spectator ticket or making a simple donation. Learn more, register, or purchase a sponsorship package on the site: t4youth.org.
