The digital revolution in communications for corporate competitiveness and the challenge for CEOs
Communication is becoming increasingly relevant and central to the competitive success of companies as a result of its strong impact on brand positioning, brand reputation and brand identity, all vital elements in the economic well-being of a business. Those who put communications strategy at the heart of their strategies, will be winners.
This study was developed to provide a new perspective on the role of digital communications and its potential for accelerating digitalization in Italian companies as a way to improve their economic-financial performance and reinforce their competitiveness on an international level.
Specifically, the study is designed to:
- provide enhanced analysis and strategic insight into current and future trends in regard to the digital revolution in communications;
- create structured means for exchange, discussion and involvement with all private- and public-sector stakeholders to promote debate around the current state of the sector and the vision of the future for technological innovation and digitalization;
- provide concrete suggestions for companies about the opportunities for business development generated by new technologies and changes in digital communications and in the digital transformation of corporate processes.
These goals will be pursued through the creation of the GroupM/The European House — Ambrosetti Advisory Board, comprised of leading individuals from the world of science, research, business and communications who are highly-qualified, independent and from diverse backgrounds, all capable of being opinion leaders for the areas under study.
