The Wedding Date

Michael watched “The Wedding Date,” alone on a Thursday night. It was ok. He wasn’t a huge fan of Debra Messing, but she did her job well. He also wasn’t a huge fan of Dermot Mulroney, but he could admit that he was one good looking dude. Yeah, he thought, that’s ok for me to say.

At one point of the movie, Debra Messing, who plays Kat Ellis is lying on a bed next to Dermot Mulroney, who plays Nick Mercer. Kat complains that she has “spilled her guts out,” and has not learned anything about Nick. Nick replies, “I’m allergic to fabric softener. I majored in comparative literature at Brown. I hate anchovies. And I think I’d miss you even if we never met.”

“I think I’d miss you even if we never met,” Michael repeated to himself.

He cringed.

Yeah, that’s not how that works.
