The Original TK Thoughts of Week: Donald Trump, NYC, and Coaching

NOTE: This is the first “TK Thoughts of the Week” post that was originally published February 12, 2016 on Facebook. Just moving it to Medium for another avenue of sharing. “TK Thoughts of the Week” are published every Friday.

I have done a great deal of thinking on this week of travel and a few random thoughts on a variety of topics as I sit on the train on the way home:

1. Electing Donald Trump would be very similar to having Aaron Burr winning the election of 1800. It would produce a ton of comical interchanges, but it surely could not move our country forward. Part of me would absolutely love it and part of me would be terribly disappointed.
 2. I love NYC — by far, my favorite American city. But constantly listening to people talk about financial dealings and trades and convoluted ways to make money buying and selling nothing, wears me out.
 3. The only time I am professionally happy is when I am doing some form of coaching. That could be sports, business, founders, students, whatever… coaching makes me feel like I was remotely useful.

Well that is enough of my average-mental-ability sharing on a Friday.

Enjoy the weekend.
