The Lobster was released theatrically in the States this year (even though it’s been around since Cannes 2015, like the piece mentions above.) So it’s eligible for this year.

I love Sing Street very much, but it’s not looking like it’ll be in the awards conversation. Long shot can be Best Original Song. As a reminder, the above isn’t a “our favorite movies” list, but a list of films with plausible shot at the race. Again, as mentioned in the article.
