The Texas Medical Center, in summer 2018, began a partnership with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authorities (BARDA) DRIVe initiative. DRIVe is focused on revolutionizing the way we prevent, detect, and respond to major 21stcentury health security threats. This is achieved by developing an accelerator network to help promote promising new technology developing into medical countermeasures focused into one of three focus areas:
After a year and over a dozen funded projects, the DRIVe program is continuing to ramp up and expand its network here in the US and abroad. The Texas Medical Center is proud to be a partner and a member of their accelerator network. Earlier this summer DRIVe and TMC formalized an extension for another year of their partnership.
If you are a part of a startup, or have a technology that you believe will fit one of these foci, please take a look at the DRIVe website https://drive.hhs.gov/index.html and reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for any information requests.
