Amazon AWS launches a project in China to support startups to be internationalized

AWS held the second AWS Startup Day in the Northwest city Xi’an in China on May 24th. Xi’an. During this event, the internationalized project based on AWS Joint Innovation Center was launched. By using the global resources, this project helps outstanding enterprises to go abroad for business expansion on a global scale, and attracts excellent foreign enterprises to enter China and station in Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center.

The Amazon AWS service covers over 190 countries and regions all over the world, making close cooperation with international high-profile investors, investing institutions, business incubators and startup accelerators. The services provided by this internationalized project include AWS technology support, AWS promotional credit, startup tutor resources, market expansion support and venture network alliance and so on.

“By launching the internationalized startup investment project in China, we hope that AWS will use this globalized entrepreneurial ecosystem to help entrepreneurs to enhance the communication of international entrepreneurship, to promote and cultivate more brilliant global unicorns,” said Rong Yongkang, AWS global vice president and AWS China executive director.

The final round of AWS Smart Star Startup Contest was also held on the same day. The top 18 were decided in over 500 competition events from six competition areas nationwide. In the final round held in Xi’an, six winning teams won the prize of 750,000 RMB awarded by the Xi’an government.
