I’m some one who spends a lot of time on Twitch.tv , and in my time there I have come across a lot of very unique streams. Unique, meaning a lot of different things when it comes to Twitch. In this first iteration of this series I’m going to cover one of my favorite places to hangout on Twitch.

CohhCarnage is a variety streamer on Twitch, he started streaming during April of 2013 and has grown into one of the largest channels of Twitch. Getting his start with MMO’s during his early days of his streaming career, he has since transitioned into being of the most notable variety streamers on Twitch.

Upon first vising Cohh’s channel you might not realize how unique it really is. Loading into his stream you’ll find Cohh almost always very meticulously playing through his current game of choice. Beyond that, one of the first things you’ll notice upon joining his chat is how different his chat is from other streamers with ten-thousand plus viewers. His chat is a mostly calm and civilized chat, with lots of discussions going on. Cohh is almost always engaged in some sort of extended discussion with his viewers about the game or really any other topic. This is mostly impart to Cohh employing a team of moderators to make sure his chat stays professional, clean and enjoyable. I cannot emphasize enough what kind of impact this has while viewing his stream. These mod’s also get a ‘Mod Day’, a day where all donations go to the moderation team to show the community support for them. Being able to read chat, interact with other viewers, and have context for the interesting conversations is something that I find adds so much to the experience of his stream.

Watching or being involved with Cohh’s stream is not entirely about Cohh himself. That might seem weird, but let me explain. I have found very few places on Twitch with a community like Cohh’s or a streamer that puts so much work into the community that they have created. Cohh’s community is called the Cohhiliton, and it is to put simply one of the warmest, friendliest, and most helpful communities I have found not just on Twitch, but in general. Saying a simple ‘Hello’ in chat will net you a response from multiple people saying ‘Hi’ right back to you. To add to that, if you catch start of a stream Cohh has a custom made system to track all the ‘cohhHi’ emotes used in his chat, and says ‘Hi’ back to almost everyone. Any time Cohh is playing a game, you’ll find people in chat willing to help you with basic questions, to complicated in depth questions, and even technical support of all things. When playing multiplayer games if possible he creates guilds, clans, or groups that are made for members of the community to join. His official Discord is an amazing place to find people to play almost any game with, as well as have meaningful discussions about those games. On top of all of that, he has crowd funded giveaways, where viewers can contact moderators with a game keys to give to other members of the community. Once you find your self watching Cohh’s streams, you’re part of the Cohhiliton, whether you like it or not.

All of these things set Cohh and his stream apart. Watching his stream and getting involved in the community is one of the more rewarding things I have done in my time on Twitch. That being said here all of the places you can go to find Cohh and the Cohhiliton.
