Led by MrBlobby, the EtherGoo team has been on the forefront of DApp development. For those who are newer to the space, EtherGoo was the first competitive idle game using the blockchain. It was a huge hit. EtherGoo toppled CryptoKitties as the #1 DApp in terms of daily active users and transaction volume shortly after launch. Now Goo is back and better and over, utilizing TRON’s faster transactions to deliver a smoother experience.
The Tron Shrimp team, led by Mr. Fahrenheit, made a splash by releasing the most explosive DApp on the TRON network to date. They peaked at over 30,000 DAU and spawned dozens of copycat DApps. Not to be outdone, the Shrimp team has upped ante by forming a partnership with MrBlobby & EtherGoo. Prior to working on the TRON network, the Shrimp team were veterans in the ETH development scene.
The TRON network and the TRON Arcade fund will always welcome developers with open arms. We’re confident that working together will allow our technology and communities to fuel the next wave of innovation and adoption. The EtherGoo and TRON Shrimp devs have produced hit DApps on multiple blockchains and we hope their creations will bring joy to the TRON community
Game Basics
The goal of TronGoo is to gather as much Goo as possible by producing it yourself or stealing it from others. Players are allocated daily rewards for their production percentage, so the more Goo you have the more TRX you earn! Each player starts with a free production unit, a cute kitten scientist, which produces a small amount of Goo for you every second. From that point on. it’s a race to build your Goo empire!
There are two types of units you can buy with Goo, production and barracks. Production units are straightforward. You can upgrade them or buy more to increase your daily production. Barracks units give you the stats, Attack, Defense, and Steal that allow you to take Goo from others and prevent your own resources from being stolen.
This is the interface where you can view other players and choose whether or not to Attack and steal their Goo. You may attack once every 30 minutes, but your defense is halved while on cooldown. Your attack will only succeed if your Attack stat is higher than your target’s Defense stat. Lastly, you are only able to steal as much Goo as your Steal stat.
Earning TRX
- Receive a percentage of the “research pot” based on your percentage of global production.
- Earn TRX by depositing Goo into the Goo Deposit Box and receiving income in return.
- Refer your friends for extra rewards!
