Womyn in Science

I‘m sure this happened to countless women throughout human history. When a man tells a womyn that she wouldn’t like science, as so many did in the 1900’s is falling for a man-made narrative. If they say womyn don’t enjoy something, for example sex or science and math, then there are no opportunities for women to try these fields since they are exclusively male. If no womyn has a chance to enter a field then the narrative continues and the public assumes that womyn don’t like science. The cycle is self-propagating and cannot be stopped without first movers and industry shakers. That is why people like Marie Curie made such a monumental impact beyond their work for years after they died. She and others provided role models that other girls could look up to that proved womyn could break into different fields that men often told them they wouldn’t like or that it isn’t for them. Just because a group in power(men) say that another group(womyn) does not belong somewhere should never be taken as fact. Otherwise people would never break ground and change the world.
