Women aren’t full moral agents, a point supported by Aristotle, the Bible, the Qur’an, evolutionary biology, and every private conversation between men about women. Accordingly, they need a responsible adult to take many decisions for them. Their choice isn’t as relevant. Most Muslims, Orthodox Jews, and some old-style Christians still understand this.

It’s one reason why the courts still give lighter sentences to women than men.

Responsible adults do not include pornographers, pimps, and abortion doctors (i.e. people who go against the sacred oath they took at medical school).

The point with moral questions is always: would you do it, or would you do it to your family?

I wouldn’t want my daughter – if I had one – in pornography, divorced, or to have an abortion. I’d see that as horrific and a failure on my part as a parent.

How would you feel about those things? Would you be proud if your daughter had an abortion after working on a pornography set? Would you feel happy about it?
