A crisis point ~ an anticipated epoch
Crisis — A radical change of status in a person’s life;
— The decisive moment; a crucial time in which a decisive change is impending; a situation that has reached a critical phase.
Epoch — An event or a time marked by an event that begins a new period or development;
— A period of time usually characterized by a distinctive development or by a memorable series of events.
I’ve been sensing a major shift in the atmosphere since the beginning of July. We are for sure at a tipping point, we are bursting through into a new reality of heaven on earth. An authority over society, environment, sickness and disease, politics, business and a whole lot of earthly affairs.
There’s a grace being released for multiplied results on actions taken. Achieving great feats in historically record times. We are in a time that we have been tarrying and anticipating for a long time now. This is the time the whole creation has been yearning for.
The 10-day wait for the coming of power in the book of Acts is beginning to resound in a lot of what people are sensing about the times. We are on the cusp of a great outpouring followed by signs and wonders. Some are beginning to plug into it already. The outpouring at the beginning of Acts was so colossal that even a little lie by Ananias and Sapphira could not go unchecked, oh boy! A Holy fear.
There has been a boiling up, a stirring up that is bursting through. The pool at Bethesda flashes in my mind, I see the anticipation on all the faces of those waiting for the stirring up, everyone on their marks, set to go.
Bethesda: House of Kindness
There’s an authority increase over territories, jurisdictions, spheres of influence and it is not going to be a dismal overthrow. The overturning in Ezekiel 21:27 has come to the point where it will be released to those who it was meant for. The multiple turnings are what has caused all the ruckus, churning and turbulence being felt by the sensitive ones.
Before the release of the desired things, Haggai in Haggai 2 mentioned that there will be shaking of the earth, land, heavens and seas. All things shakeable will feel this vibration. When God enters into the affairs of men, there are always tangible signs like melting mountains (Psalm 97), signs in the heavens. We’ve seen substantial rain here in Lagos which I believe is a sign of this outpouring, the Lord confirms things with physical signs.
For many, the opportunity of a lifetime is upon them. It is a time to be circumspect, not out of fear but with great expectation of the execution of all being birth out of God’s counsel to you. I can’t say that I know what it all means because this is an individual experience. Everyone has to press into God to get a glimpse of what he’s got for them, I’m just heralding what is upon us.
The beginning of Acts keeps flashing in my mind, the power demonstrated by the apostles was so great that people were thinking they were gods. The gods have come among us some said. Everyone has a personal response to what is upon us, we are all admonished to expect it. The apostles didn’t know exactly what to expect in terms of manifestation, they just expected an inundation of the power of Holy Spirit. I believe we are in such a kairos time as that, pentecost has gone by but not a lot of us are sensitive to what has birth among us.
Holy Spirit has also been emphasizing a conscious mindset shift to me, I sense now that it is a calling to everyone. We see that this precedes a transformation. Romans 12:1-2 gives us a widely know view of this:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and accept-able, and perfect, will of God.
We present ourselves as sacrifices by a renewing of the mind according to the word of God. By sacrificing, we put away the counsel of the world (traditions, cultures, superstitions) and fashion ourselves according to the counsel of God. What we think and how we process our thought influences what we experience. To see transformation in our experiences, we must first renew our minds to the truth. To the Philippians, Paul says:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Fashioning our cares along the pattern of the world will cause us to take the world’s patterns in solving them. We are not supposed to lose sleep over anything but intentionally place them before God. Then through the peace of God flowing in our minds, we can take action based solely on the will of God. This varies our experience with that of the world. The contrasting experiences of the Egyptians and the Israelites during the plagues gives us an example of how this can be.
This mindset shift is important for our proper perspective at this crisis point. We’ve got to align our view with God’s view. Distinction in experience in this time will be as a result of what our minds are set on.
The Infallible word
The infallibility of God’s word (Jesus) to inform our experiences is a key mindset shift. Speaking of God’s word, Isaiah tells us that:
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God’s word must be prosperous in its purpose before it can return to him. Jesus, God’s word in flesh, could not return to the Father until he had accomplished his purpose of reconciling the world back to the Father and bringing the reality of the Kingdom to the earth. Jesus, with the right mixture of compassion and provocation, stirred the hearts of men to deliver him up onto death. He did not come to be made king and so he ran when that was proposed. That was the idea the Jews held of the coming of the kingdom and the messiah.
No matter how offensive to our minds it is, God’s word will do what it has been sent out to do. This might also include proving you ready for its manifestation through tryouts. These tryouts do not change the power his word carries to shape your experience, they do not negate the word.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
Ephesians 1:9-11 says:
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will
The will of God (his word) is fashioned after his purpose; his good pleasure. Its revelation to us is a proof of our having received it already as a possession, the time for its manifestation has come (1 John 5:14-15). He who has spoken it will gather it unto its consummation.
David understood that at the moment of revelation, Father had already done what he was revealing. This knowledge then informed his heart about what to be pray. He was the conduit through which Father’s counsel will be enacted on earth. His prayer was an earthly corroboration of what was being resounded in heaven.
For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them….For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.
2 Samuel 7:21, 27
We too must carry this important mindset at this crisis point.
Let us begin to set our minds on things above, bring to remembrance things promised. Pentecost (June 4) brought power for the enactment of the things promised, I believe that same power is at work around us. Seize the time, seize the opportunity. This is the time you’ve awaited.
