On being a male feminist

I applaud you for taking part in this important conversation! A lot of men don’t; not because they don’t care, but because they think it’s not their place to take a stance. But the conversation belongs to everyone.

I recently started working as a Software Engineer at a company where I’m the only female programmer. So far, I haven’t been treated any different and I haven’t heard any bad comments at all. Sometimes I do wonder what could be said behind my back, but as long as I’m treated like the rest, I’m not gonna waste my time guessing. All the employees are quite young, so perhaps the attitudes are changing and this is proof of progress? But this is only anecdotal evidence.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
