Don’t you believe (as I do) that much of this is posturing as long as the race and campaign remain alive? I think many fear that if and when Hillary gets the nomination, many of Bernie’s supporters will turn away and, IMO, rather than voting for Trump, will simply not vote at all. I would expect, however, that Bernie will do all he can to turn out his supporters for Hillary, if it comes to that, because Bernie understands what you have also written above and because, for Bernie, it’s never really been about him. Ironically, I think this is one issue where Bernie differs markedly from his own supporters.
