With over 8000 indigenous sports available all over the world, and millions, even billions of people playing them, you can guess how hard it can be to become a professional in any of those.

The chances are hard, but there are always ways to make anything happen, so why leave this out?

There a number of ways to keep yourself on the right track and become a pro in any sport that you like or is your favorite!

Start playing from an early age

Although a little disputed, it’s usually believed that playing from an early age helps you groom into a kickass player in any sport. it’s only logical. The earlier you start playing, the more time you have to train. Also, as kids our brains are able to be moulded into anything we want, so playing sports at that age helps immensely.

Train train train!

No, we’re not talking about railways. To be a professional at anything, you need to put in your 10,000 hours to get to the top. Doesn’t matter if it’s football, cricket, badminton or running track, you have got to train to achieve success.

Take care of your body

Your body is the main machine doing all the work in any sport, be it a solo one or a team. Granted, you need to have your mentality on point, but your physical prowess is what’ll propel you forward. So take care of it by eating right and avoiding injuries.

Join clubs dedicated to your sport

To gain recognition in the public eye, you need to play with/against people. And the best way to do that is by joining clubs and teams which already do that. Not only do they have greater connections to get to to the top, they will also coach you more professionally.

Participate in competitions

You will need to actively participate in competitions of the sport you’re playing. You’ll never get better without playing your sport continuously and that too against people. You will need to develop a hard attitude about winning and for that you need to face opponents and beat them.

Fail consistently

Even the best fail. Failure is the one component of success nothing can replace. Failing over and over again teaches you what your mistakes are so you can improve upon them. To do so, you will need rock solid will power and a fiery passion for the sport you wanna excel at. Be consistent. Show perseverance. Be passionate. And you shall get to the top!

And for the last time, NEVER EVER GIVE UP.
