Who are we?
Tantra Labs is a team of researchers, engineers, data scientists, economists, and optimists. Our primary focus is Bitcoin and related Blockchain technologies that we believe will usher in a more prosperous future built on sound money.
The Tantra Labs team is led by CEO, Ped Hasid, information systems specialist, serial entrepreneur, early Bitcoin adopter, and investor in the crypto space. Tantra’s algorithmic trading and platform development is led by CTO, Russell LaCour, data scientist, and full-stack engineer with a background in Macro Financial Markets and Equities. Trading strategies and analysis is led by CIO, Tom Kivisto, a 40+ year veteran in commodities trading who has managed over $3 billion in AUM. Tantra’s Chief Innovation Officer is Brett Morrison, and heading up Research Strategy is Kagen Atkinson. Heading up operations is Will Pangman, and marketing is led by Jason Don (aka Brekkie von Bitcoin). We are also proud to have Joe McCann, Nik Bhatia, and Nick Sullivan among our advisors to the team.

Our approach
At Tantra Labs we hope to use our research and various implementations of that research to bring about a more equitable and financially stronger future. Although we consider ourselves blockchain agnostic, we see Bitcoin as the most viable means to effect positive change in our world.
Today our focus is on building mathematical models to better define the risk / reward outcome of Bitcoin. We want to begin sharing this research with the world, in the hopes that everyone may come to see the tremendous opportunity that is Bitcoin.
Our ultimate goal is to help build the next financial paradigm. At Tantra Labs we believe that the paradigm shift currently being ushered in by Bitcoin and related blockchain technologies will dramatically affect the future of our world. We want to help that future be a positive one.
