March 26, 2017: The Cerebral Palsy Foundation

$4,091 Raised for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation

Growing up as Brandon’s twin, I was fortunate to have my eyes opened from a very young age to the diversity of the human experience. B’s diagnosis of cerebral palsy (CP) placed limitations on his ability to communicate, but everyone who met him always walked away impressed with all he COULD say, whether with his DynaVox communication device or with his eyes. His eyes spoke volumes, and are among the many things I have missed about Brandon these past two months.

I recently learned that March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness month and yesterday, March 25th, was the official Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. This month I have donated to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and formed #TeamBrandon in their “CPF Challenge.” The challenge is simple: complete a 7 minute workout daily for 21 days to raise money for the foundation and awareness of CP. There is even a dedicated app with adaptive workouts for athletes of all abilities to participate… sounds easy enough!

Small steps to continue to keep your spirit alive, Brandon Wolfbiss, and teach others some of what I was privileged to learn from you over the past 27 years.

I love you and miss you endless amounts.
