Making things a bit less personal.If you watch the news, or read the news, or perhaps even just hear about the news, there is one thing you will often find in common. They like to use numbers. Numbers are a lot less personal than names. Imagine if, instead of reporting “seventeen died and four were injured” you had to hear a list of twenty-one names?
