MoBerries @ FLY Initiative

Sharing. There’s no better word to express the core purpose of the MoBerries’ network. and that’s why we’re always up to give our insights on business and the job market.

Last week, we were at the FLY Initiative, discussing 3 of our favorite topics: Youth, business and entrepreneurship.

The event hosted 50 students who came together for a day of workshops. The aim is to bring together youth who are still in their studies and want to break into the business world together, guided by people who already have. Our Head of Business Development, Mo, was quite impressed by the students:

“I found it inspiring to see how hungry a lot of students are to get insights and make something of themselves, giving up a Saturday in the process. It was amazing to me that so many young people expected more of themselves. The one thing that really stood out was the level of diversity present, I loved seeing a healthy number of inspiring female entrepreneurs as well as people from other cultures.”

Mo has a true passion for sharing his experience and connecting people and ideas.

“I am passionate about being there for the youth. My business is connecting people, so to me, it feels amazing to do for others what was not done for me. I had to invest a great amount of personal time to acquire the connections, knowledge and experience which I have today. If I am able to accelerate this process for others then I will be the first in line.” he declared after the conference.

Indeed, Mo has a strong will to give back to the people and the city that helped to transform our vision into reality:

“I am not originally from Berlin, but I believe in our city, our eco-system and our place in this world. I am passionate about giving back as this city gave me the blueprint to start becoming the man I expected to be.”

By participating in this kind of event, we make sure we do our part to help assisting great people in our ecosystem and plan on the long-term. These young students are the generation that is going to take our city and partners to the next level. We really believe that the best way to help them evolving into who they want to be quicker is by connecting them to the business world earlier. Our founder gave an inspirational talk, shared his insights on entrepreneurship and the job market, answering many questions the students had. We hope it was as helpful for the students as it was inspiring for us.

We would like to express our special appreciation and thanks to Shuhratjon Ashurov who put in the time and effort to organize this event.
