Google is planning to unveil Pixel 2 exactly one year after Google Pixel 1. Google has started its marketing campaign for its upcoming Pixel devices by introducing a teaser site and a new video. The video which does not actually reveal the upcoming Pixel device is just asking the smartphone users questions like “Why does my phone suck so much, Google?” and tells the user to “stay tuned for more on October 4.”

Just days after Apple revealed its iPhone X, Google has already started marketing its upcoming Pixel devices. The iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 competition will be a real tough one as both Apple and Google are the best in the industry.

The key features of iPhone X are 5.8″ ‘Super Retina’ bezelless display, with 458 pixels-per-inch, 3D face recognition (Face ID) that will replace Touch ID, upgraded dual-camera (wide-angle and telephoto lenses), wireless charging and support for 4K video at 60 FPS. iPhone X will be available for pre-order from October 27 and ships from November 3.

Although the official names of second generation Pixel phones are still not official but it is expected that Google will launch two smartphones manufactured by two different companies. Pixel 2 XL which is the larger version is designed and manufactured by LG. It will be a slim bezel 5.99 inch device with 1440p OLED display, whereas the smaller version of Pixel 2 is being manufactured by HTC which will have a 4.97 inch 1080p OLED display. The HTC device will have larger top and bottom bezels in comparison with the LG device. Both the devices will have 4GB of RAM and squeezable frames which were first introduced with HTC U11. The launch event will take place in San Francisco at 9 AM PT on October 4.
