Google unveiled today the most awaited Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL. Pixel 2 XL which is the larger device with a screen size of 6-inches is the different from its predecessor Pixel XL. Pixel Xl was a 5.5-inch device whereas Pixel 2XL follows a bezel-less rounded corners design which is becoming an industry trend.
The Pixel 2 XL shares the recent design features similar to other flagship smartphones. The bezel-less design which covers most of face of the phone makes it look like an edge-to-edge display. Google has not replaced the bezels but instead made them thin. The smaller device which is the Pixel 2 has adopted the same traditional 5-inch display, thick bezels and same old fashioned squared-off corners.
The Pixel 2 XL comes in two variants 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and the second one comes with 128GB internal storage. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The device uses an OLED screen with 2880×1440 resolution (538 PPI) with improved deeper blacks and enhanced dynamic picture.
The Pixel 2 XL unlike its first generation is IP67 water and dust resistance which is a good improvement. Other features include a USB Type C, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, always on display which will allow users to view time, date, text message and other notification on the screen without requiring the user to touch or wake the device. Pixel 2 XL has a much improved fingerprint sensor, the case is made up of metal body but the camera and flash area comes with a chunk of glass on top.

Pixel 2 XL has also an enhanced 12.3MP rear camera with 98 DxO mark (which is the highest for any phone) and OIS and EIS for video recording which will result in much clear and smoother images. The device comes with a 3520mAh battery which can easily last for a whole day. Pixel 2 XL runs stock Android 8.0 Oreo and has a new squeeze sensor feature which allows the user to communicate with the phone by squeezing the sides a feature borrowed from HTC‘s U11.
The device is ready for Pre-orders for a price starting from $849 but the bad news is that the device will start shipping on November 15. The Pixel 2 fans will start getting their device just in 15 days and it will be really disappointing for the Pixel 2 XL which will have to wait even one more month after the Pixel 2 fans get their devices.
