Absolutely! Don’t design bots to be naturally like humans, rather design bots so we naturally like them! In fact, the uncanny valley, as first proposed by Prof. Mori in 1970, even suggests that when the characteristics appear almost, but not exactly, like natural beings it causes a response of revulsion among some observers.
