In the beginning of this week of prospecting well No 1 at the Bahoriston field in southern Uzbekistan produced its first oil and gas.
The daily flow rate of the producing well today is 20 tons of oil and 200 thousand cubic meters of natural gas, which can be considered a successful start of pilot operation of the field.
Experts of the American company Epsilon found that the main part of the gas condensate deposit at Bahoriston field is located in the upper jurassic sediments. The height of the productive oil reservoir is about 30 meters, of gas condensate is 70. Hydrocarbons come out of the exploration well under a pressure of 250 atmospheres.
In the near future, due to the development of the entire productive formations, the daily flow rate of gas and oil of the exploration well will be doubled. As for the field itself, located on the Mubarek investment block, its reserves are estimated at about 10 billion cubic meters of gas.
The press service of Epsilon also reports on plans to increase production at the North Nishan, Zhanubiy Tandircha and Eshonkuduk fields. All necessary works are carried out using the latest equipment and in compliance with environmental technologies.
