Indonesia and Oil and Gas Industry
Why would Indonesia develop the Oil and Gas industry? The thing is, not long ago Indonesia’s oil and gas sector was underestimated, actually having huge hydrocarbon reserves. Today, the estimated reserves are more than 60 billion barrels of oil, and 30 trillion cubic meters of gas.
However, despite an annual fossil fuels production increase, Indonesia’s own production is not enough to meet the growing domestic and external demand.
As a result, the Indonesian government is liberalizing oil and gas sector and is actively negotiating with foreign companies to attract investments in the country’s energy sector. The government is ready to offer various privileges and favorable conditions for the development of local deposits, what means at least 48 oil and gas basins, requiring geological survey.
The example is not far to seek. In early August, Indonesia’s state oil and gas company Pertamina invited Azerbaijan’s state company SOCAR and Japanese JX Nippon for a partnership to renovate the oil refinery in Balikpapan.
In turn, Technotec Int. will also negotiate with Indonesian companies for successful cooperation in this sector. We are confident that our technologies, advanced equipment and experience will help to qualitatively improve the oil and gas production in this country.
