London Coffee Festival 2016: our round-up

The London Coffee Festival is always such a buzzing event, not just because of all the caffeine: so many interesting brands and innovative concepts to discover and savour. Here are a few brands we were inspired by:

Darkwoods Coffee
This roastery is located inside a refurbished textile mill in Huddersfield. The dramatic windswept valley surrounding the roastery is effectively used within Darkwoods’ brand identity.

The Roasting Shed
The small-batch roastery is based in Hackney wick and uses responsibly sourced beans. Evidently, hard graft and passion go into making this distinctively delicious coffee.

Drip app
The Drip app allows you to prepay for coffee plans in return for discounted prices at selected shops across London.

Union Coffee
The fair trade coffee roasters have recently rebranded — we are impressed with the new logo (with its clever “U”/coffee cup mnemonic), as well as the overall brand identity.

Mr Black
This elegantly presented cold press coffee liqueur actually had a queue of people waiting to try samples — no doubt this Australian drink is poised for greatness.

Artisanal hot chocolate in four different flavours — need I say more?
