Staking TLOS
TLOS is the utility token that powers the Telos blockchain. The Telos Blockchain rewards users for staking their TLOS by paying them additional TLOS for each day that they stake. Think of the Telos Blockchain as a really good neighborhood, and the TLOS token as a piece of property in that neighborhood. You can use your TLOS to stake for resources (CPU,NET) or you can lease your TLOS to developers. All TLOS staked goes to the Telos Resource Exchange Program (T-REX), which allows TLOS holders to rent their TLOS to developers to power their applications. As of the publishing date of this guide, T-REX is giving a 16 percent APR for stakers.
You can stake TLOS tokens that are liquid or already staked for resources. Tokens staked to REX will receive REX tokens in exchange for TLOS. There is an initial 4-day maturation period before REX can be redeemed for TLOS again. However, REX tokens will continue to accrue rewards until they are redeemed (un-lent). REX tokens can only go up in price. You will be able to track your tokens from your favorite REX-enabled block explorer or wallet.
One million TLOS tokens per month are distributed to Telos REX rewards by the TEDP. Any account can take advantage of Telos REX.

REX requires that an account is actively voting for at least 21 block producers, or you can also proxy your votes to any Telos voting proxy. We recommend Sqrl Wallet or Telos Wallet for this step.

Using Sqrl Wallet, open your account and click on the Governance tab to vote. Select at least 21 block producers or select Set Voter Proxy and choose a proxy to vote for you. You may review the different proxies registered on the network using the Chainspector Proxy tool.
