Our Favorite Upstate New York Ice Cream Shops

In case you haven’t heard, today is National Ice Cream Day. We wouldn’t miss an opportunity to talk about ice cream! So here are our favorite ice cream spots that you are worth checking out ASAP.

1. Lakeside Licks

If you’re looking for great soft serve, look no further. This place isn’t just an excellent ice cream shop for humans, you can get a treat for you and your pup here, too. Closest site

Plattekill Mountain.

2. Cone E Island

Located in the Catskills, this little ice cream stop offers delicious banana splits that are, bar none, the best. You won’t regret stopping by! Closest Tentrr campsite: Stonecutters Ledge

3. Huguenot Creamery

This downtown New Paltz creamery is a quaint little shop that serves up a great cone, in a town as cool as the ice cream. Owner Patty Walker established the creamery in the summer of 2011, since then it’s been a New Paltz institution. You won’t be disappointed by their ice cream selection.

Closest Tentrr campsite: Red Fox Forest

4. Jillian’s Ice

This colorful Ellenville Ice Cream shop is home to a welcoming friendly staff and a killerscoop. The family feel makes the ice cream taste that much sweeter.

Closest Tentrr campsite: Mountain View

5. Boice Bros Dairy

This family-owned small business makes the best hormone-free ice-cream from New York cows and local ingredients. We highly recommend giving it a try.

Closest Tentrr campsite: Lothlorien.
