Wow. Thank you for this indeed. My daughter’s best friend was raped by her boyfriend when they were both sophomores in HS. My daughter was the only one in her group whose first thought was to call us, and second thought was to call the police.

Most of her friends were as you described, without a clue as to what to do next.

I taught my girl how to handle it, because I knew she wouldn’t learn it from anyone in a sex ed class. So, I tried to give her the tools she needed to handle such a situation… and Thank the universe I did.
