Oasis Delegation Guide
Oasis network is a decentralized privacy-preserving platform for cloud computing that allows data to be shared securely across multiple networks, enabling the return of data ownership to individuals and powering a better Internet.
The Oasis Network launched the official Oasis wallets (Web Wallet and Chrome Browser Extension) that serve as a safe place to store and also stake ROSE.
In this article, we will explain how you can quickly and easily delegate $ROSE to a trusted validator of the Oasis network using the above tool.
How to Delegate with the Oasis Web Wallet
Setp One: Create an account on Oasis Web Wallet
- Click on the link（https://wallet.oasisprotocol.org/） — to go to the Oasis web wallet website. You will have two options there: either to add an existing wallet or create a new wallet. To open a new account click ‘Create wallet’.
- After clicking ‘Create Wallet’, a 24 words mnemonic phrase will be displayed. Write down the mnemonic phrase and save it in a safe place as there is no way to restore it in the event of a loss. After saving your mnemonic, click the checkbox ‘I saved my keyphrase’ and click ‘Open my wallet’.
- The final step is to confirm the mnemonics. Enter your mnemonic phrase in the right order and make sure there are no spaces between the characters. click ‘Open my wallet’.
- After this, your wallet will be created.
Setp Two: Deposit your $ROSE to this wallet
ROSE is tradeable on several top exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, Gate, Coinlist, and many more. Once ROSE is bought on any of the listed exchanges, it can be withdrawn to the ROSE address generated on the newly created wallet. All you need to do is to copy your address and then transfer ROSE to your Oasis Web Wallet.
Step Three：Stake your $ROSE to a validator
The users can participate in the delegation of their ROSE token to earn rewards through staking and at the same time contribute to the security of the network.
- Navigate to the ‘Stake’ section on the Oasis web interface, where you will see the list of available validators.
- Scroll down a little to find the Teminet validator.
- Set the amount you want to stake (note that the minimum staking amount is 100 ROSE) and tap ‘Delegate’.
- Check transaction details, and if everything is correct, hit ‘Confirm’.
If transaction was successful, congratulations! Your ROSE tokens are now being staked, which you will see under the section ‘Active delegations’, and you will start getting rewards after the first epoch (1 epoch = ~ 1 hour).
The rewards are accrued every hour.
Kindly note that the rewards won’t be displayed in your wallet (they can be checked on Oasis Monitor: type your wallet address in the search field → rewards will be displayed under “Rewards”.)
Bear in mind that the debonding period is 14 days. Rewards do not accrue during this time frame.
Kindly note that the “corresponding number of shares” is different from the staking amount (slightly less) and it represents your original staking in the staking pool. However, if at any time you decide to unstake, you will get your initial staking amount back (+ staking rewards, if any).
How to Delegate with the Browser Extension
Step One: Create an account on Browser Extension
- Go to this link and click the [Add] button.
- [Add “Oasis Wallet”] window will show off. Here you have to choose [Add Extension].
- At the end of the download, you can start to interact with your browser extension by clicking on it.
- Using the extension, there’s a ‘Create Wallet’ button. Click the button and create your security password.
- After clicking the checkbox below ‘I understand that if I lose my password, I will not be able to access the assets’ . click ‘Next’, you will be asked to save the mnemonic phrase that’s being displayed and to confirm backup.
- Once the mnemonic has been saved successfully, select the words in the order of the original mnemonic to confirm that it has been backed up correctly.
- Once successfully confirmed, the account creation process will be completed.
Setp Two: Deposit your $ROSE to this wallet

Navigate to the ‘Staking’ section (the bottom bar) and click on ‘Validators’, where you will get to see the list of available validators. Scroll down a little to find the Teminet validator.
Click into the details and enter the number of ROSE you want to delegate.
Confirm the transaction.
The transaction is successful，congratulations! Your ROSE tokens are now being staked, which you will see under the section ‘Active delegations’, and you will start getting rewards after the first epoch (1 epoch = ~ 1 hour).
