How To Keep Your Evergreen Content Flowing

I’m always talking about repurposing your content and promoting it on social media … not just once, but over and over again. The thing is, we have all this great evergreen content, so posting it on your blog once — never to be seen again, is a waste of good content.

Meet Edgar has a great feature that allows you to put evergreen content in your queue so it can be recycled over and over again according to the schedule you set. But Meet Edgar is a whopping $79/mo. or $588/year. That’s a little too rich for my blood.

However … one of my team members has been trying out another nifty little app that will do the same thing, and allow you to put evergreen content in your queue so it can be recycled over and over again according to the schedule you set — for free! Yes, you heard me right. I said free.

It’s called RecurPost. My team member has great things to say about the app, and I’m going to be trying it out as well. Social media is her thing, so she’s usually pretty savvy about apps that make things easier and cut down expenses for our clients!

What makes RecurPost so good (other than it being free ;) ), is it allows you to add evergreen content to your content library, set an ongoing schedule that works for you (or let RecurPost pick the best time for you), then sit back, track and tweak. Right now, Facebook Profiles, Pages and Groups, Twitter Profiles and LinkedIn Profiles are supported. More social media platforms are coming soon.

Put your evergreen content to work for you. Set it and forget it!

You get up-to-the-minute results so you can see what content is getting the most traffic, and when. You can make changes to your schedule, delete or add content, and do different kinds of A/B testing so you can make sure your content is getting the best reach and traffic. There is even a Chrome plugin that will allow you to add updates directly from your browser.

So instead of letting all of that awesome evergreen content you’ve posted once or twice, just sit there, or spending a lot of extra time rescheduling it manually, add it once into your content library, set your schedule, and let RecurPost do all the work.
