Marketing … how do I love (or hate) thee? Let me count the ways.

Wow! That’s a lot of different ways you can market your business. I’m sure I’m just scratching the surface and there are many more I’m not thinking of right now.

Marketing doesn’t have to be difficult, it just has to be done!

I guess my point is that there are a multitude of things you can do to get your business out in front of your target market. It doesn’t have to be difficult; nor does it always have to be boring or even time or labor-intensive. It simply has to be done. That is if you want people to know about your business and the incredible products and services you offer. Because the truth is, marketing is that all-important process that tells others about your business, and encourages them to knock on your virtual door!

The main thing you need to do in any marketing endeavor, however, is to make sure you’re using a method that will reach your target market and ideal client.

Is your target market on social media? And what platform? Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn?

What live events do your ideal clients typically attend?

Are there any local networking groups or Meet-Ups that might be a good fit or a good referral source for you?

What about virtual events or networking groups?

Does your target market enjoy video or audio or attend webinars?

How can you entice your ideal client to join your list so you can send them your newsletter and other important information from time to time?

Pick and choose marketing activities that will put you in the path of your ideal client.

If you know the answers to the questions above, you can pick and choose the marketing tactics that will garner the best results, but also enjoy doing. Add in a few of the easy ones like sending personal notes, conducting surveys and maybe a contest every now and then, and you are on your way to coming up with a marketing strategy that works for you.

Whatever you decide to do, just do it. And do it consistently.
