Well, yes, the professors who taught me calculus taught me how to think and talk in terms of mathematics. The professors that taught me physics taught me to think and talk in scientific terms. The chemistry professors took a similar route. In fact, it seems that only the professors who taught philosophy were involved in shaping the way I thought, and then only that I was able to understand how to reason logically and how to recognize logical fallacies. Of course, that was only my experience.
