Minty Fresh — Edition 47
Tune in each week for the freshest mints from across the Tezos #CleanNFT ecosystem.
Hey there! Welcome to the 47th edition of Minty Fresh, your weekly source for the latest, freshest, Clean NFTs from across the Tezos ecosystem. This week, our secret word is “dimension.” Dimension is a measurement, but it can also be a portal, a term that takes us beyond our current reality. In this case, the NFTs selected below all break open new worlds, creating new technical and visual dimensions. Check out these amazing recent works from Teia, Objkt, fx(hash), and Versum.
You are looking for your
own voice but in others
While it hears you,
trapped in another dimension
1. dc_12
“Capricious — Created with Blender, Audacity and Processing”
The body, specifically the mind, takes us into new dimensions in draincain’s dc_12 series. It shows how everything — intuition, imagination, innovation — begins in the mind. We all have the capacity to go, think, and create something new. Check it out on Teia.
2. Awakening III
“Movement on the web.”
The illusions in Awakening III, from artist ALT+ESC, give the feeling that this image is moving, transforming before our eyes. The meticulous geometric pattern on the borders give way to wavier, less rigid shapes towards the center. It’s almost as if the work is relaxing, easing up on its strict form. Find it on Versum.
3. Fractal Painting
“This is composition art based on mathematics fractal…”
There’s a surreal quality to Fractal Paintings, a series from Japanese generative artist Ginzi. The shapes and line movements are minimal, but finely detailed, with solid, bold shapes providing the contrast. Imagine a Joan Miro painting deconstructed, then generated through code — and you get Fractal Paintings. Available on fx (hash).
4. untouched
“Fragmentation is the truth of existence…”
Another example of the body as a portal, this time as a feminine form from artist, Martina Menegon. This series uses 3D scanning to create AR “selfies” — digital versions of our real, fleshy selves. With the boundary between these two identities always blurring, “untouched” shows us a thrilling dimension in which the flesh and the screen collide. Find it on Versum.
5. Moving Paintings
“A series created from physical oil paintings turned into digital experiments…”
The layers of “paint” in Brazilian visual artist Lisanne Haack’s Moving Paintings series create an incredible depth in these digital canvases. And then, the dimension goes even further — the final work is an unlockable. The movement feels like breathes, making this a growing, living work for you to get lost in. Check it out on Objkt.
6. horizon(te)s
“For this collaboration we focused on horizons as an organizing principle. What are the edges and borders of our vision and what do we see there?”
And finally, the recent collaboration between generative artists Zach Lieberman and Iskra Velitchkova, titled “horizon(te)s.” While Liberman created “block/glitch” based images, Velitchkova was inspired by candy to make her images. Side by side, they show two interpretations of what the next dimension could be… Find it on fx(hash).
