This “Hand Shake” warm up game is conducted to bring in energy and momentum into the session. Participants are made to move around to meet different people and greet them in different ways.
Hi! I’m Thamizharasan Karunakaran, an Event Emcee based at Chennai. I have been hosting events like Birthday Parties, Corporate Team Building Activities, Conferences, Out Bound Training, Product Launches, Dealers Meet, Mall Activities, Wedding Receptions . Sangeet, Get togethers, Cricket Matches, Quiz Shows, etc. in Bengaluru, Chennai and other parts of Tamilnadu. I have also planted the seeds to expand across India.
Will all the participants take part in the activities in an event?
When I go to a Training program or an Event, I make sure that every individual take part in the activities conducted by me. At the end of the event, there shouldn’t be a single person who hasn’t engaged in any activity.
Why is there a difference in energy level in an event?
Since participants of a training program or event come different parts of the city or different locations like office, industry, home, etc, everyone would have different level of energy levels. Few may be at high energy level and few may feel very low because of whatever has happened in their life just before coming to the event. So to bring in good level of energy into the hall, this energizer would really help.
Why do participants enjoy this Handshake game?
I teach the participants different types of handshakes and make them move around the floor with great energy. This game doesn’t involved any mental work, all it needs is physical movement which is easy for the participants. At the same it’s fun interacting with others giving handshake. Once this game is over, I teach them another game called as “Hifive energizer” which I shall discuss in my next post.
