美國高中生團隊開發出一款可以篩檢糖尿病視網膜病變的手機app;初步臨床測試針對五組擁有該疾病的病患進行檢測,五組病患都能準確的篩檢出來;該系統的運作方式是透過手機照相來取得視網膜影像,以3D列印的鏡片聚焦燈光,讓視網膜的成像更清楚;拍攝後的影像再透過手機app內的AI演算法來進行辨識及診斷。(IEEE Spectrum)

A smartphone app called Eyeagnosis developed by high school team shows early success to screen for diabetic retinopathy. By fitting a 3D-printed lens onto a smartphone, the phone’s flash can be focused to best illuminate a retina and the disease can be diagnosed by analyzing the image with the help of AI.
