Surgically implanted lenses for AR inside the Eye; Birth control app attracted $8m in investment

Omega Ophthalmics sees the opportunity to build up a platform for sensors manufacturers with surgically implanted lenses to create a space for augmented reality inside the eye.


Physicists couple designed an app called Natural Cycle to help couples with birth control launched in 2014 and it now has some 300,000 users and attracted $8m in investment;The startup claims the app is as effective as the pil;Evidence from one of the largest clinical studies showing 7% of women got pregnant used the app versus 9% who used the pill;Sales is more than $6m up to date generated from paid subscriptions.
