The Abominable Bunch are a bunch of hominids. This means that the function of their foot although similar to ours in result, differs vastly mechanically. They’ve long been split into four separate tribes, differing in color, strength, camouflage and motivation.

Those that own an Abominable NFT are entitled to compete so as to acquire their share of Tribal Dividends, provided that they’re an Active Member. Acquiring the Active Member status is easy, all you have to do is participate in our monthly bonfire (burn).

Ran by the TAB Team, the first six months of competition have already been mapped out. Although we are completely open to any/all suggestions the team is confident that competitions ran by the community won’t commence until later in the game. That said, we’re awfully excited to see what you all come up with!

There are four rotating categories that the tribes shall compete in:
- Creativity & Community
- Finance & Floor Sweeps
- Console & PC Gaming
- Pop Culture & Problem Solving

Monthly Competition Example

Before diving into the Competition Map let’s start by looking over an example of what the funds distribution might look like come the month’s end:

- The project’s royalties (5%) total $120ETH for the month.
- Upwards of 10% goes towards In-House Trading Fees, Burn Buys and the
Community Den Chest.
- 40% goes to the Artist, Team, Disc Mods, Employees & Tribal Leaders.
- And a minimum of 50% of the $120ETH goes into the Tribal Dividends
pool
.

For this example, we’ll set the pool’s value at $60ETH.

Each tribe consists of roughly ~1100 Abominables. To keep things simple we’ll round this number down to 1000.

So we’ve got 1000 Abominables in your tribe, lets assume for the sake of argument that in this case they’re Yetis. Dirty, filthy, ten-foot-tall yetis.

600 of your 1000 Yetis have an active interest in the project, they attended the monthly burn and thus have acquired Active Member Status. The remaining 400 are scoundrels. Flippers, art-collectors who care not for utility or community, newbies still struggling to master CollabLand or worse yet filthy, rich bastards who could care less for dividends they just tryna put together the dopest PFP collection anybodies ever seen (hence their owning of an Abominable ;)

The Yetis win the month’s competition by the skin of their claws. Well done Gov’na #golfclap

Therefore the 600 Active Member Yetis split$60ETH netting them each 0.1ETH for the month. MVPs receive triple for that month and are decided by both the TAB Team and the community. #wide.eyes

Scoring System

You don’t have to compete to hold one of our NFTs but you will most certainly be encouraged to do so as the tribe that works best as a team is most likely to prevail regardless of the month’s contest.

A majority of competitions (even ones like Smash Bros. or Street Fighter) will be tallied via a point system so as to prevent one carrying the weight of the team uphill in the snow and the rain crying and complaining all the way to the top. One tribe will take home the entirety of the month’s loot but make no mistake: no one player can assure victory single-handedly, asset though they might prove to be.

The point system (when applicable) shall score as follows:
1st Place = 25pts,
2nd place = 19pts,
3rd place = 15pts,
4th place = 12pts
5th and 6th place = 6pts
7th through 12th place = 3pts
13th+ = 1pts for participation where applicable.

Fairness mechanism

Obviously this won’t be easily implemented wherever a non-points tournament transpires but trusting that between the TAB Team, the Tribal Leaders and the Community can come together so as to ensure things remain fair the following system shall apply where applicable and shall be discussed where not.
Any tribe that wins two consecutive months in a row shall incur a 15% (stacking) handicap: against that tribe. This means that should the Yowies win two tournaments in a row, the following tournament would require them to win by 16% in order to take home the prize. Should they somehow manage to win three in a row, the fourth would require them to best the other three tribes by at least 31% in order to remain victorious. Once having lost a round, your handicap shall not be reset but reduced by 15%. This means that new users looking to join a tribe that is “hot” shall be walking into an uphill battle and might otherwise be encouraged to look elsewhere beforehand.

Yes, there will be some degree of fuckery afoot. Yes, there will be some degree of manipulation. Yes, there will even be those that lie, mislead and deceive. This is the internet. We know this before we tuck ourselves into bed at night. We know this before we get up in the morning. And yet still we march on endlessly into the unknown. We shall build as fair a system as we know how and if we’re lucky- you just might help us, and yet all the while in knowing this, some rules will still manage to be bent, others broken. Make no mistake, this is part of the game. Now, that said, get caught blatantly attempting to inhibit the fairness and/or fun of others and you’ll find your Abominable bought, burned and banned before breakfast.
