As the maker of 500 episodes about app creators (The App Guy Podcast), I frankly have mixed emotions about Planet of the Apps.

Seeing Apple throw money and world talent at this project may get many future app entrepreneurs excited enough to quit their day jobs, but for the wrong reasons. e.g. To become rich and famous like the lucky winner who gets the might of Apple marketing behind them.

I still wonder whether the show will reflect the hard struggles and failures I encounter with most app founders I have on my show.

In any event, I’ll be watching next year with anticipation.
