We know he won’t win. And we know a president can’t single handedly accomplish everything. Because we legitimately believe in incremental change (as opposed to people who use “incremental change” as code for “maintain the status quo”), we recognize the long term benefits of keeping a candidate like him in the race.

Because his ideas are really nothing new, but they suddenly are so much more popular with him in the race, we recognize the value of him being there.

And we recognize that the only benefit to him dropping out of the race would be that his ideas will be more likely to die. So we give them small donations. That’s really all there is to it.
