The One Where Jimmy Cries (The Best Mentors)

There aren’t enough words to praise my mentor, Jack Lee, enough. He told it straight. He called me out. He told me about myself. I would often leave his office thinking, “I am the worst performer in the history of the world!”

But I kept going back. Why? Because Jack made me better. Jack was rooting for me; and that’s why he told me the truth. He refused to let me coast. He refused to let me fail. He refused to let me stay in my comfort zone.

If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about, watch this video. It’s the one where I cry.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
