A sign of weakness

What do you classify as a sign of weakness? Admitting you’re afraid? Admitting you did wrong? Letting people see your tears? Letting people protect you? Telling people you can’t do something alone?

What is a weakness? Something you can’t do? Something people do better than you? Something you’re born with? Or is it a fear that keeps you from achieving your full potential.

No, letting people in, letting them see your tears, your fears, your short comings is a sign of STRENGTH! You were strong enough, brave enough to let people in, admit that you can’t go in alone, letting them see a different side of you. The side that rarely lets people in, the side that you keep hidden. It takes a strong person to admit everything, a person with a strong soul to face what will classify them as weak. It takes so much strength to stand up for yourself. Admitting your weaknesses is already a sign of strength that you might not have known you had.

So stand tall, I believe in you. You have so much to live for. Turn your weaknesses into strengths. Face the world head on. Be your own hero, you must love yourself, believe in yourself, stand up for yourself before you can do any of that for anyone else. Save yourself before you try to save others.

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” -Dr. Seuss
