As the Irish take to the streets to protest Ireland’s immigration policy, many concerned citizens cite an increase in sexual assaults from the young men being imported as a reason for their dissent. In this article, we will dive into the data regarding sexual assault and migrant populations.

Summary

  • A study in Sweden found that in the 2000–15 period prior to the migrant crisis, 47.7% of convicted rapists were born outside Sweden
  • An independent analysis in Sweden found that 95.6% of assault rapes are committed by men of foreign origin and 90% of gang rapes are committed by men of non-European origin
  • In 2010, 6.6% of the Norway’s population were of non-Western origin yet they made up the majority of the rapes (51.3%)
  • First generation immigrants account for 37.5% of rapes in Finland and 17.8% of child abusers despite only being 7% of the population
  • In Denmark, a quarter of all rape convictions were foreign nationals who do not hold Danish citizenship
  • According to data from the Interior Ministry in Italy, 42% of rapes are committed by immigrants, despite accounting for approximately 8% of the population
  • Data from the National Statistics institute in Spain show that the majority (52.17%) of convicted rape arrests are foreign nationals (11.39%). Africans commit 20% of the sexual assaults in the country despite the fact that, demographically, they only account for 2.4% of the population
  • In Germany, data from 2014 showed that Turkish nationals account for a quarter of all rapes and sexual assaults despite only accounting for 1.4% of the population. The report also showed that Iraqi and Afghani nationals were hugely overrepresented for their population size
  • In Austria, 43% of rapists are of an immigrant background
  • In a single police operation in a town in the UK, 7% of the adult male Muslim population was arrested for raping and abusing underage girls
  • According to former prosecutor within the Crown Prosecution Service Nazir Afzal, up to 100,000 underage girls are being abused every year by Muslim grooming gangs

Sweden is often the good place to start when examining the effects of immigration as they took in the most refugees per capita during the 2015 migrant crisis. Such an extreme change in demographics should have elicited extensive research into how mass immigration would affect the native populace before the politicians opened up the doors to the country, however such research was either overlooked or ignored. For instance, in the years leading up to the migrant crisis (2000–2015), half of convicted rapists were born outside of the country and 59.2% were committed by men with an immigrant background.

Post-migrant crisis, an independent analysis into the demographics of sexual assault & rape in Sweden between 2012–2017 has found that men of non-European origin commit 84% of assault rapes.

The above chart shows that Africans are most likely commit rape, whereas Middle Eastern/North Africans are more likely to commit aggravated rape. Alarmingly, the Algerian demographic commit aggravated rape at a rate 122 times over the rate of a Swede.

When it comes to gang-rape, the analysis also showed that 90% are committed by men of non-European origin. The difference between Swedes & Algerians are an astronomical 16,970%. Afghans have a factor of over 10,000% greater than Swedish men.

In 2018, the public television broadcaster SVT aired a programme which investigated 843 district court cases from 2011–2017 and found that 75% of assault rapes (cases where perpetrator and victim were not previously acquainted) were born outside of Europe with 40 percent of those having been in Sweden for less than a year. Of the 843 cases, 40% came from those who immigrated from Africa or the Middle East, who only accounted for around 6% percent of Sweden’s population at the time.

An investigation by the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet from 2019 found that 73 percent of gang rapists between the years of 2012–2017 were born abroad. Asylum seekers accounted for 30% of the rapists and only 11% were born of Swedish-born parents.

A report released by Norway’s Police department showed that In 2010, 6.6% of the Norway’s population were of non-Western origin yet they made up the majority of the rapes (51.3%).

To highlight this, every single instance of assault rape in Oslo in the years between 2006–2009 were committed by immigrants with a non-Western background, the majority of whom being asylum seekers of Kurdish or African background, according to the head Oslo police’s violence and immorality department.

A Finnish study from 2021 found that in 2020, first generation migrants accounted for 37.5% of rapes and 17.8% of child abusers despite only being 7% of the population.

According to another report, the rate of people with a foreign background in rape crimes was almost eight times higher than the total crime rate of the general population in 2010–2011. The same study showed relative crime rates between immigrant groups in Finland and Norway controlling for socioeconomic and age differences, showing similar patterns to those who were committing sexual assaults at a higher rate in the Swedish analysis above (Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Somalia and the rest of Africa).

The Ministry of Justice in Denmark found that rapes had doubled between 2012 and 2020. The report also found that a quarter of all convicted of rape in 2020 were born outside of the country, despite only accounting for 8% of the population. Those of Syrian nationality were found to be convicted of rape the most, with rates at nearly 5 times over their base representation for population size.

According to data from the Interior Ministry in Italy, 42% of rapes are committed by immigrants, despite accounting for approximately 8% of the population. The data also showed that physical violence is more frequent for foreign-born women rather than natives, however sexual violence is more frequent for Italian women.

Data from The National Institute of Statistics in Spain showed that of the 491 arrests for sexual assault in 2021, 45.6% were committed by those born in a foreign country. Notably, 20% of those arrested originate from Africa, despite only representing 2.4% of the population. In 2020 and 2017, a similar distribution of sexual assaults were committed by foreign nationals, tallying at 44.4% and 42.4% respectively. When accounting for rape alone, 52.17% of those convicted are foreign nationals, meaning 11.39% of the population are committing the majority of rapes.

While Sweden accepted the highest per capita volume of migrants into their country in 2015, Germany took the largest amount in total. This report from the BKA Polizeiliche Kriminalstatistik in 2014 showed that a quarter of all rape and sexual assault convictions were committed by Turkish nationals (who made up 1.8% of the population in 2019). Using 2019 data for population size, Iraqis were 8.75 times over base representation and Afghanis were 9.75 times over base representation — it must be stressed that these population figures are 4 years out of date and after the migrant crisis, and the rate will be far, far higher. It must also be stressed that these figures are only accounting for first generation migrants. Knowing these statistics from prior to the 2015 migrant crisis, the politicians who allowed Germany to take in such large numbers of Iraqi and Afghani migrants would have known their decision would lead to women and children being raped and sexually assaulted. This would manifest only a year later on New Year’s Eve 2016, where 1,304 people came forward to report crimes ranging from pickpocketing to rape.

Over in Austria, Hannes Amesbauer recently claimed that 43% of convicted assault rapists are migrants after a 15-year-old Ukrainian girl was raped by a Syrian asylum seeker and was not kept in custody.

In the UK, the extent of the grooming gang scandal has slowly come to light in recent years. In the Telford Inquiry, it was revealed that in a single police operation, 7% of the adult male Muslim population were arrested for raping and abusing over 1,000 underage girls in the town. These grooming gangs have been found to be operating in 55 towns and cities and Former prosecutor within the Crown Prosecution Service Nazir Afzal estimates that up to 100,000 underage girls are being abused every year. Former Labour MP for Rotherham Sarah Champion estimates that one million children have been sexually abused by Muslim grooming gangs.

I have written an extensive article on the grooming gang scandal here.

As demonstrated in this article, sexual assault and rape are disproportionately committed by non-Western migrants, overwhelmingly those from Africa, the Middle-East and South Asia. The Irish and other concerned Europeans are correct in their observations and our politicians are aware that their policies will lead to further rape, trauma and suffering.
