First Blog Post

Hello everyone! This is my Medium blog account. Throughout the year, I, along with many other students will be posting here to inform others about our experiences in the Innovations class at Noblesville High School. Innovations is basically a class where the students have the freedom to find their own ways. Which means that every student apart of the class is able to choose their own project. Collaboration is always welcome. Our teacher, Mr. Wettrick constantly reminds us that, “Oportunites are everywhere”. Oportunites are everywhere, or OAE, means that everywhere you go and everything you see can be an opportunity. He wants us to find our own connections in order to expand our knowledge and communication. I feel this class will be a great tool to use to guide my future in whatever career I choose. Our first project was a study of the conflict between Isreal and Palestine. We learned that its not only the current events that fuel the conflict but the history of it as well. We studied wheter or not the media was biased towards one side or another. We found that in most cases, it is. My part in the first project, which happened to be a class project, was to capture interviews and string them together. Mathew and I had the chance to interview people from all over. People from Noblesville, our school, and even residents in Isreal and Palestine. Overall, the project taught me alot as it was my first real step to collabortation with others. Im excited to see what will be next for me as a person, and the class.
