The first Cosmos NFT sent into space
On October the 19th of 2023, for the first time in history of the Cosmos ecosystem (the ensemble of blockchains connected through Inter Blockchain Communication), a NFT from Stargaze (the first decentralized NFT marketplace on its own blockchain) was sent into space.
This Astronaut from the Bad Kids bluechip collection of the platform made it to the upper-statosphere (120000 ft), filmed live (video at the end of the article) all along during his 1h ascension and then came back.
The occasion for this epic moment was an innovative marketing action made by Squid. Participants had to make some swaps from any EVM chain (Ethereum Virtual Machine, like Polygon, Arbitrum…) into any Cosmos chain to enter the raffle to win the NFT (Bad Kid #7012) as well as its tangible version that came back from space.
Someone pretty lucky won the little Bad Kid #7012 that could probably benefit of the event by gaining in rarity and value after his unique performance.
Could this Bad Kid become a symbol for the ecosystem ?
